Got Pride?

If you answered yes, please join Millsaps Pride Organization in celebrating Pride Week!

Millsaps Pride is a safe space for Millsaps students, faculty, and staff to discuss gender and sexual identity, current events, and other LGBTQ-related topics.
We will engage these topics in fun, informative ways beginning October 29th and ending on October 31st.
See our Facebook page for a full schedule of events (facebook.com/millsapspride).
We hope to see you there!

Millsaps Math Club

Got logic? The Millsaps Math Club is now sponsoring a semimonthly logic problem open to the students, faculty and staff. Each problem will be posted on the small chalk board on the third floor of Sullivan Harrel. Written solutions should be returned to Dr. Nicholson, SH-366, by the date indicated on the board. The names of individuals who submit correct answers will be placed placed in a drawing for a prize at the end of the semester. Good luck!

Panel discussion after Distracted on November 9.

After the Nov. 9 performance of Distracted, we will hold a panel discussion during which audience members may ask questions to experts.  The panel will be of interest to students of psychology, sociology, neuroscience, pre-health, and education – and to anyone who has personal experience with ADHD. Panelists  include Dr. Molly S. Clark, assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and adjunct education professor at Millaps; Dr. Katie Hahn, clinical psychology professor at Millsaps; a Millsaps student who grew up with ADHD; and a parent of a child with ADHD. The facilitator will be Dr. Stacy DeZutter, assistant professor of education at Millsaps.

What's wrong with nine-year-old Jesse? He can't sit still, he curses, he raps, and you can't get him into—or out of—pajamas. His teacher thinks its Attention Deficit Disorder. Dad says, "He's just a boy!" And Mama's on a quest for answers. Is Jesse dysfunctional, or just different? Don't we all have ADD, to some degree?
