Everyone CAN paint. Yes, even you! Freely playing with colorful paints can amp up your joy, shine the light on your innate gifts and give a big boost to your creativity and intuition. On the flip side, self-doubt and fear become less prevalent when painting for fun because your focus is only on the process. There is no pressure to reach a goal with your painting or master painting techniques in this class. Since it is impossible to paint incorrectly, self-confidence swells when you practice this type of painting on a regular basis. If you are looking for a new way to add color to your life this fall, please join us! This class is appropriate for all levels of painting experience and beginners are especially welcome. This class meets at TiP Expressive Arts Studio in Clinton. All supplies, including aprons, are provided. Please wear comfortable, casual clothing that can handle a few unruly splatters of paint.
Beverly Keaton Smith is a Millsaps graduate who was certified as a life coach through The Coaches Training Institute in 2005. After graduating from the Wild Heart Expressive Arts Teacher Training Program in Oakland, California, Beverly founded TiP Expressive Arts Studio in Clinton so she can share her passion for intuitive painting with others. SIT
Study Abroad is a pioneer in experiential, field-based study abroad and offers
semester and summer programs for undergraduate students in Africa, Asia and the
Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as comparative
programs in multiple locations.
Through
its unique field-based approach, SIT encourages students to step beyond the
boundaries of a traditional classroom to analyze and understand the critical
issues shaping local communities around the globe.
SIT

case studies, in-depth practica, or community projects. Students enjoy
unparalleled access to local, national, and international networks and are
encouraged to treat every experience as a learning opportunity. In doing so,
students often discover a lifelong passion that can lead to successive academic
and professional achievements.

Monday Health Tip
Pick Proper Portions
Restaurants want to
give you more for your money, but the portions they serve are often much more
than anyone should eat in one sitting! Restaurant foods also tend to be
overloaded with salt, fat, sugar and calories, which can lead to weight gain.
You can cut calories before they arrive at the table by foregoing the bread
basket, asking for a child’s size or half order, or by making your own meal out
of side salads, soups, steamed veggies and appetizers. If you do get a
full-size entree, listen to your body’s natural cues and stop eating when
you’re full.
Take steps to reduce your restaurant portions this week. It's important not to overindulge simply because you're eating out: enjoy the portions and meal choices that you would normally eat at home.
