Important Information about Parking & Decals

Officers will begin issuing citations starting Monday, September 9.  If you have not yet gotten your 2013-14 parking decal, please do so ASAP.  Look for the Campus Safety table in the College Center lobby on Thursday and Friday.  After that, you can get decals at the Campus Safety office (located in new South Hall) between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. during the week.  Also, look for the Campus Safety table in the College Center in the next few days.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR VEHICLE’S TAG NUMBER to get a decal.

Some quick tips:
  • South and North residents are NOT allowed to park in the AC lots between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., M-F.  This area is for Visitors; Fac/Staff; and Commuter students.
  •   Students are NOT allowed to park in the Whitworth/Sanders circle between 8 a.m. –  4:30 p.m., M-F.  This area is for Visitors and Staff.
  • South residents are not allowed to park on North side from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., M- F.
  • Aside from the TWO Handicapped spaces at the end of the AC sidewalk (by Sullivan-Harrell & English House), vehicles are not allowed to park in this semi-circle area.
  • NEVER park in a space designated for Handicapped if you do not have official designation, EVEN if it’s just for a minute, late, in the rain, on the weekend.

Meet the Law Schools

Wednesday, September 18 from 4-6pm on the first floor of Murrah Hall, Millsaps will host its second annual Meet the Law Schools event.  With over 15 law schools from as far away as New York and California in attendance, we want ANY AND ALL students interested or even exploring an interest in law school to attend.  Whether you are a Freshman or a Senior, this event is a do not miss!!!!!  At approximately 4:30pm, we will bring the crowd to Murrah 200 for a discussion with the law schools about the application process.  This is a great time to ask them questions such as, “what extracurricular activities look good” or “I have an infraction, will that keep me from getting in.”  This is a come and go event, so even if you cannot make that entire thing, you can stop by for a look around and talk with these all important decision makers!
