Writing Center Tutoring Positions, 2013-14
Deadline is December 7th.
If you are interested in becoming a Writing Center Tutor, you must submit a letter of interest and a confidential and sealed letter of recommendation from your Core 1 instructor (or, if you are a second year student or above, an instructor from your current semester who can speak to your writing ability) to the Writing Program office in John Stone Hall by 4:30 pm on December 7th. The essays in your Writing Portfolio will also be evaluated as part of the application process.
The selected applicants will be contacted over the Winter Break, and they will be required to enroll in WRIT 2001 (a one-credit hour Tutor Training Practicum) in the Spring 2013 term. Upon successful completion of WRIT 2001, those students will be invited to work as Writing Center Tutors, and enroll in WRIT 3001 (a one-credit hour course for ongoing tutor training).
